Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union Deploys GlobalCerts SecureMail Gateway to Provide Secure Messaging for its Wholesale Operations

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 2004--GlobalCerts(TM) today announced that Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union a Middletown, PA-based provider of credit union wholesale services, has deployed the GlobalCerts(TM) SecureMail Gateway(TM) in its network operations. With communications to over 1,000 member credit unions, Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union has deployed the SecureMail Gateway(TM) to provide secure messaging in several of its network applications.
Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered corporate credit union that provides investment, lending and payment services, including ACH, share draft and electronic bill payment processing - to a national field of membership. Mid-Atlantic Corporate serves 1,100 credit unions, CUSOs (Credit Union Service Organizations), Leagues and chapters in 42 states and Guam.

Mid-Atlantic takes its network security very seriously. They are equipped with top-of-the-line firewalls, and they have their network monitored on a periodic basis. A national security firm runs random, unannounced vulnerability scans against the network on a monthly basis, and generates a report based on their findings.
