Fiserv Credit Processing Selects System To Keep Transactions Quick

Card Consolidation Credit Debt By WTN News • 12/17/03 Brookfield, Wis.-- Fiserv Credit Processing Services selected BMC Software's MAINVIEW systems management solutions to help ensure response time of its credit card and credit application processing needs. Fiserv Credit Processing Services provides outsourced credit receivables management services and is a unit of Fiserv, Inc.

Fiserv Credit Processing Services provides clients with technology that enhances their ability to manage credit decisions, account acquisition, account processing, fulfillment and risk management. With nine million credit processing accounts and 80 million transactions a month, Fiserv Credit Processing Services believes that setting and exceeding its service level agreements for response time is critical to the success of its business.

"In today's challenging economic climate, tightly linking IT infrastructure with key services and business goals is increasingly more critical," said Victor Toro, systems programming manager, Fiserv Credit Processing Services. "Processing credit card transactions and credit applications is a critical business service for us. In a business where seconds count, we can't afford slow responses. Our response times on our credit card transactions are half a second, while our credit card application response times are less than 10 seconds. For many people, this is a blink of the eye and we can't afford to make it any longer than that.

Fiserv Credit Processing Services serves more than 14,000 clients worldwide, including banks, broker-dealers, credit unions, financial planners/investment advisers, insurance companies and agents, self-insured employers, lenders and savings institutions. Headquartered in Brookfield, Wis., Fiserv reported $2.3 billion in processing and services revenues for 2002.
